A Paperless Way to do Business

Connectivity is an alternative way of getting data into or out of TIGER JILL and is on the cutting edge technology for speed, portability and industry standards. TIGER JILL can facilitate the exchange of data between users, and allow the import or export of data from one TIGER JILL user to another, to a TIGER JILL Server, to government agencies and to accounting software (like QuickBooks or Famous.) Using wireless network, laptops out in the fields have quick access to the Server’s database in the main office. Tracking inventory from multiple locations is simplified with connectivity. One person inputs all purchase records into one database and then imports the applications (reduction of inventory) from all the TIGER JILL users in the fields.

PCA’s use TIGER JILL to create recommendations, they then transmit that record to their customers, their customer’s suppliers and/or applicators. Using modules like Label Verification and Permit Verification the PCA can skillfully advise his customers based on a wealth of knowledge maintained in his TIGER JILL database. The PCA in turn can import from his customers their site, block and permit information reducing his own data entry and avoiding mistakes. The Expert module gives the advisor another cutting edge tool that quickly lists ALL materials used to combat a specific pest and/or crop and sorts it by effectiveness or cost advantage.

Growers create their own applications or receive electronically the recommendation from their PCA. They can also receive from their applicators the TIGER JILL application invoice, which will provide them their application cost as well as the spray information. From these same records TIGER JILL facilitates federal, state, and county record keeping and reporting requirements. Information can be either transmitted electronically to the Ag Commissioner or sent in paper form. The grower in turn can transmit all the spray records for their crops to the processor or packinghouse as well as upload their cost information from TIGER JILL into their accounting software.

Applicators or Retailers receive data from the PCA or manually enter information on spray jobs. TIGER JILL has a complete accounts receivable package that also uploads into their accounting software eliminating the need of double entry. Pesticide Use reports can be generated using the same records as their invoices and sent electronically or in paper form from within TIGER JILL. Applicators with multiple locations or satellite offices can record the day’s jobs onsite and then electronically transmit that information to the main office for billing and reporting. Pilot commissions and tracking of employee exposure is also maintained within these same records.

Farm Management Operations use TIGER JILL in a similar way as the grower and applicator combined. They create the spray history information for their customers and using the same records bill the customers for their services. They track costs for their customers as well transmit the application use reports to government agencies. They can record harvest and yield information and generate profit or loss reports.

Food Processors use TIGER JILL to electronically and manually gather spray history data on the produce they package for sale. Allowing them to know exactly what chemicals has been applied to every piece of produce as well as what fields it came from.

Tiger & Pocket Jill perform as a field data collection system that enables management to collect sampling, scouting and other information. Pocket Jill uses mobile computing technologies to collect soil tests, plant growth and tissue samples, sugar brix data, weed and disease identification, yield estimates as well as all applications, fertilization, irrigation and more. Pocket Jill retrieves data from remote locations with bar code scanning and GPS technology,

Through the use of GPS technology, all observation and sampling data is collected with GPS data coordinates. Pocket Jill technology enables the user to scan bar codes to locate the block, automatically record data into the block records, and record specific samples and observations that are taken. The employee tracking module allows supervisors to record time and productivity of a field labor force. The employee tracking utilizes Windows Mobile technology and a Web-based solution to collect information on the worker, the crew he/she is assigned to, and the crop harvested or tasks performed while in the field.

When using the employee tracking mobile solution, the user can view and audit payroll information, record work by the piece or hour, clock in or out a crew of several or a single employee, record pick-ups during harvest activities including net weight and GPS position, and securely upload this data to Jill Web-based payroll management system.

While utilizing Jill’s secure Web-based application, the user can select and view data by block, crew, or individual, then query that data by date range. The user also has the ability to review and edit payroll data, and apply various payroll rules based on labor contracts or labor law standards.

Tiger Jill is a vineyard/farm information system which allows vineyard/farm managers to capture data needed for planning, recording, and analyzing ranch level activities. Tiger Jill also provides chemical application data for all reporting requirements. Through the use of Windows Mobile technology, bar code scanning, GPS technology, secure Web-based data systems, the client can plan and effectively manage their ranch, equipment, personnel, and other inputs on a real time basis.
