Some of the New Enhancements and Features in Tiger Jill-

Yield Estimate Module: The user records measurement logs with clusters per vine and cluster weight. The program uses those measurements to calculate and produce reports for Yield Projections and Estimated Thinning Requirements taking into account user defined Growth Factors.

Material Mixes Module adds the ability to create material mixes The mixes can be created from an existing application or by going directly to the Mix Record. Then in applications you can select the mix for the material grid instead of having to individually select each material and input the rates.

Organic Module provides users the ability to input, verify and track certified organic applications and crops. TIGER JILL will verify when creating applications if the materials are Organically Certified and will not let you save the record if it is not. .

Traceability Module provides reports and record keeping ability to comply with General Agricultural Practices and commodity export requirements EuroGAP.

Tiger Relay Program: When using P.E.T. Tiger or Pocket Jill in a remote location the Tiger Relay program will allow the user to send as well as receive data. Microsoft® .NET
Our development team demonstrated the latest PET Tiger implementation with .NET true object-oriented software. Microsoft® .NET is a set of software technologies for connecting information, people, systems, and devices.

The digital revolution has made life a lot easier and more productive for growers, consultants, applicators, and other agribusiness. All important activities in agriculture production (such as setting up and maintaining a pesticide application, fertilization, irrigation, labor, harvest, mapping and more) are now done with the click of a button, and the Internet and e-mail have become key aspects of most operations.

But what happens when you need to gather information in the field, and take it home or to the office? In many cases, you still have to take notes manually and gather them together so you can input them. Fortunately, there are options. Using a variety of handheld devices, you can take down information while they are in the field, orchard or vineyard. At the end of the day, you can go home and transfer the information from this handheld to your home or office computer.

Orange Enterprises, Inc is leading the charge in actively helping growers find and effectively implement handheld computers into their business. Based in Fresno, CA - the company specializes since 1984 in software development. The company provides development, training and support for growers venturing into the world of portable technology.

According to Udi Sosnik, marketing director of Orange Enterprises, Inc. “the company's best software products is its hand held .Net - Pocket Jill & PET Tiger on a pocket PC platform”. This programs are perhaps most practical because of their functionality. Sosnik put in plain words “As you are scouting your fields or executing a work order you can engage in all record keeping and labor tracking as well as sending and receiving data in real time”. Your hand held can also be helpful for - calendar and contact information storage, a daily task list function, your cell phone and the ability to run most Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel. There are also features created by Orange to assist in capturing images as part of your record as well as full incorporation of bar-code and RFID technology.
