The 11th Annual TIGER JILL Seminar ended December 14, 2001.

A week of extensive and successful seminars ended on December 14, 2001. Instructors from Orange Enterprises, Inc had the opportunity to visit and to demonstrate the latest version of TIGER JILL to hundreds of users.

The seminar was dedicated to Pest Control Advisers, Growers, Management companies, Food Companies, Consultants, Air and Ground Applicators, Chemical Retailers, and Managers. During the Seminars a number of new modules for TIGER JILL was presented as well as some major improvements to the Program, Reports and Help.

The Connectivity Module was demonstrated extensively. Any TIGER JILL user can send e-mail directly from his program to any other TIGER JILL user. From the Pest Control Adviser a Recommendation, complete with signature, can be e-mailed to the Grower or Retailer/Applicator directly from a laptop while out in the field using a cellular phone. The Retailer/Applicator can receive the Recommendation and from it generate his customer’s invoice which in turn can be sent back electronically to the grower to track his costs. The spray history record can be sent from the Grower to the Food Processors.

TIGER JILL and QuickBooks can now be interfaced to eliminate the need for double entry thereby saving time and costly input errors. Throughout the course of the seminars the entire Accounts Receivable capabilities were discussed and it was demonstrated how to take an Application from creation through to the General Ledger in the QuickBooks program.

The Harvest and Harvest Analysis Modules were covered showing how to record a crop’s yield and grade, create a harvest record and generate the Income vs Expense reports.

Connectivity: This module is used to connect programs on different computers. It makes it possible to send records from one TIGER JILL user to another like sending PCA recommendation from the PCA computer to the grower's or to the applicator.

Equipment Module: It is used to record and track the use of equipment and tac-time. It is useful for keeping track of equipment maintenance performed and/or service needed using the equipment log. It can generate reports tying equipment cost to specific applications. It can help to make decisions about costly and extensive repairs needed on equipment by maintaining the history of each piece of equipment's repairs.

Employee Exposure:It is used to record and track an employee's exposure to any or all chemicals. The program will then prepare reports about the employee's exposure as required by the CDFA and CAL EPA. Pesticide handlers who handle organophosphate or N-methyl carbamate insecticides with the signal words Danger or Warning for more than six days in any 30-day period must be under medical supervision. Medical supervision includes monitoring cholinesterase levels. Pesticide handlers are employees who mix, load, or apply pesticides, clean or repair pesticide contaminated equipment, work as flaggers or handle open containers. TIGER JILL can record your employees training records, track exposure details, and with the Organophosphate-Carbamate report generate a scheduling of employees needing blood tests.

The Equipment Module was demonstrated showing how to create information for Service Logs and track usage in applications.

An entertaining but serious presentation was given based on one customer’s support log entitled “Anything That Can Go Wrong, Will, and Then Some.” This presentation tracked one customer’s plight of problems including computer hardware failures, TIGER JILL bugs, and issues with their County Ag Commissioner, as well as their basic questions on using the Program.

The User Forum and Suggestions brought about many interesting and feasible possibilities to be implemented into TIGER JILL in the near future.

As a result of users input we have added a new column for the Work Order & the Recommendation reports with the LAST PARTIAL LOAD IINSTRACTION.

You know:
